Spooky season is for all! Giving your pups new ways to enjoy their meal can be a great way to provide enrichment, so why not make it festive too?
With only 2 ingredients, these stuffed bell pepper Jack-O-Lanterns are easy and fun to make. Now gather your ingredients, put on your favorite Halloween playlist, and assemble!
You will need:
- A paring knife
- Cutting board
- 1 defrosted package of your dog’s favorite JustFoodForDogs recipe
- Orange bell peppers
Step 1: Prep
Empty pack of your choice of JFFD into a container (set leftovers aside in the fridge).
Step 2: Trim
Cut the stem off the top of the bell pepper. Remove seeds.
Step 3: Carve
Use a small knife to cut the eyes, nose, and mouth into the side of the pepper. Feed the cut-outs (not the seeds or stem) as a snack for your pup while he waits or stuff them into the pepper with the JFFD.
Viola!
Step 5: Stuff
Fill the pepper with a JustFoodForDogs recipe of your choice (we used Chicken & Rice).
Step 6: Enjoy!
